DAY ONE NEWS & MEDIA

Our agency responds to local and national media regarding local cases and legislation. As we work toward systemic changes, we welcome the opportunity to educate and inspire Rhode Islanders and beyond to take action in their communities.

Day One interacts with media to provide expert response, statistical information, and local perspective on issues related to sexual violence and abuse.

If you would like to schedule an interview or request a comment, please inquire with our Chief Operations & Strategy Officer.

Our representatives can offer information regarding topics such as sexual assault, human trafficking, child sexual abuse, and other related criminal acts.

Why we welcome media requests:

  • Media outlets serve as important partners in raising the community’s awareness of sexual assault issues.
  • Media attention does more than educate the public, it also helps influence decision makers, funders, and potential supporters.
  • Representatives from our staff work hard to respond to media calls immediately.
